Carl Eugene Ross

Mr. Carl Eugene Ross 67, of 737 Gaylan Court, died Friday Dec. 22, 2006. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, December 29, 2006, at Solid Rock Worship Center in Kannapolis. The Rev. Raymond Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Lady’s Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence.

Mr. Ross was born January 29, 1939 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Carl S. Ross and Louise Mullis Ross. He retired as a truck driver from Carolina Handling in Charlotte following 23 years of employment. He was a member of Solid Rock Worship Center where he served as senior deacon. He was a loving, kind person and an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Joyce Ross.

Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, Ramona Ross; three daughters, Dorothy R. Harrington and husband, Christopher, of Charlotte, Taffney S. Church and husband, David, of Troutman, Crystal R. Williams of Concord; two sons, Trent Ray Short of Florida and Marcus L. Bolding of Liberty, SC; two brothers, Gerald Ross of Millington, TN and Donald Ross of Enochville; eight grandchildren, whom he loved, Gina Bolding, Travis Short, Reva Green, Brittney Bolding, Sara Williams, Victor Harrington, Trevor Williams and Nathan Bolding; and two great-grandchildren, Adam Green and Ava Short.
