Center Township Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Sylvania Road Sunday afternoon at 1:08.
Upon arrival, CFD units found smoke showing from the roof line. Firefighters conducted an interior attack and contained most of the fire to the upstairs, but the first floor contained water damage.
The fire was located at the Danny Mullis home, located at 9736 E Sylvania Road.
“A lot of Mullis’ contents were saved,” according to Center Fire Chief Jeremy Inman.
“Fire units had some minor problems with the weather conditions but nothing too extreme. All of the fire department worked together in the extremely cold and snowy weather to extinguish the fire. The fire was ruled as an electrical fire in the upstairs outlet,” Inman stated.
CFD was assisted on scene by firefighters from Van Buren Township, Eastern and Owensburg/Jackson Township as well as the Greene County Ambulance Service.
