Dorothy Mullis Dykes

Funeral Services for Dorothy Mullis Dykes, 95, of Cochran, who died at Bryant Nursing Home, Monday, July 10, 2017, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill.

Mrs. Dykes was born in Bleckley County, daughter of the late James R. and Claudia Faye Lamb Mullis and was the widow of A. Lester Dykes, Sr. after 72 years of marriage. She was a member of Cochran First Baptist Church and was a retired grocery merchant. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Clay Dykes.

She is survived her two sons, Al (Linda) Dykes and Mike Dykes both of Cochran; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nora Ann Woodall and Peggy Nobles, both of Cochran and Christine Crafton of Dublin; sister-in-law, Hazel Mullis of Cochran; brother-in-law, Phillip (Dianne) Dykes of Cochran; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will meet friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cochran First Baptist Church, 101 S 2nd St., Cochran, GA 31014 or your favorite charity.
