Cochran – Hugh R. “Ronnie” Mullis, age 61, died Wednesday in Jesup. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Westview Baptist Church in Hawkinsville.
Mr. Mullis, born in Bleckley County, was the son of the late Huston Rondil Mullis and Reba Floyd Mullis. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Becky Purvis, Fleeta Steele and Rita Brown. He lived most of his life on the road enjoying the beautiful countryside driving a truck for Kennesaw Trucking Company. He really enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He was a solid rock for the family and attended Westview Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Faye Mullis of Jesup; his children, Daniel W. Mullis of Hawkinsville and Renea Bloodworth of Pineview; step-children, Ginger Shealey of Jesup, Mark McCulloch and Ken McCulloch of Colorado Springs, CO; brother Joe (Stebo) Mullis of Vienna; ten grandchildren; two special friends, Robert (Bob) Strout and Robert (Bubba) Smith.
The family will greet friends Friday, December 19, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the residence of Daniel and Julie Mullis, 128 Magnolia Road, Cochran.
