KALAH MULLIS

SEDONA, Ariz. – Kalah Kathryn Mullis, 80, of Sedona, Ariz. passed away Friday Aug. 9, 2013.

Born Jan. 6, 1933, in Rochelle, Ill., she was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dorothy Plapp, of Malta and brother Ron Plapp, of Sedona.

A loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband Ron Mullis of Sedona and eight children: Jai Mullis, of Australia, Jon Mullis, of Idaho, Steve Mullis, of New Mexico, Roger Mullis of Arkansas., Mary McTeigue of Oregon, Robert Mullis of Georgia, Sean Mullis of Georgia and Martha Robinson of Phoenix, as well as 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Kalah grew up and lived in farming communities of Malta and Clare. Ron and Kalah relocated to Hondo, N.M., and finally to Sedona.

She was a lifelong homemaker and cooking was a specialty. Her meals were fantastic and she could feed an army from the freezer casseroles she kept made. She will be missed by family and friends.
