OUR OWN MISS FLEMING
THE TYPEWRITER QUEEN
THE WAY SHE KEEPS AT IT
SOUNDS LIKE A RIVETING MACHINE
A SWEET LITTLE GIRL, ONLY SHE KNOWS HER WOES
DOESN’T EVEN HAVE TIME TO POWDER HER NOSE.
NIMBLE WITH HER FINGERS AND FAST ON HER FEET
SHE’S THE BEST AND CAN’T BE BEAT.
In 1945 she met her husband of 42 years, William A Mullis, Sr who preceded her in 1988. They traveled the world during his 30 years of service in the US Air Force. They settled in the Landsdown section of Charlotte NC, where she lived for 40 years. She was a long time member of Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC. She is survived by sister Sarah Wells Thompson and brother Ben Fleming and his wife Patty of Moncks Corner, SC; sons William A Mullis Jr and Dana David Mullis; granddaughters Jai-Laura Mullis Kumnick and Heather Mullis; and great granddaughter Katie-Troy of Virginia Beach.
She will be interned at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers please offer a donation in “Biddy’s” name to your favorite charity or to wounded warriors.
