Mrs. Lorene Hoffman Faggart, age 88, of Phaniels Church Road, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Liberty Commons, Salisbury.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Faggart will be conducted in Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church, Saturday at 3:00 pm. The Rev. Robert C. Silber will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
Mrs. Faggart was born in Cabarrus County on March 30, 1921, a daughter of Reece Cline and Emma Mae Mullis Cline. She retired from the sewing room of Cannon Mills plant one. A member of Mt Mitchell United Methodist Church, she taught Sunday School for over 50 years and was selected mother of the year for the church in 2004.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Faggart on April 26, 2000 and two children, Kay Brawley and Jerry Lee Faggart.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelby Snipes and husband Donald of Rockwell and Carolyn Rackley and husband Sam of Salisbury; son Tommy Faggart and wife Billie of Harrisburg; a brother, Rodney Cline of Charlotte; a sister, Linda Lamb of Charlotte; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Memorials for Mrs. Faggart may be made to the memorial fund at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church, 6001 Old Salisbury-Concord Road Kannapolis, NC 28083.
