Mrs. Lyles, age 92, of Charlotte, formerly of the Oakdale Community died February 8, 2010 at North Point Assisted Living. A service to celebrate her life will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Reverend Rex Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Lyles was born August 10, 1917 in Mecklenburg County daughter of the late Leonard and Cora Mullis. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J. Clyde Todd, second husband, Harry W. Lyles, two sisters, Cidy Huntley and Beatrice Huntley and brother, James Mullis.
Mrs. Lyles was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Todd Marsh and husband, Joe of Charlotte, son, John C. Todd and wife, Beth of Archdale, NC, grandchildren, Tim Marsh and wife, Gail of Denver, NC, Ginger Marsh Hatchell of Mt. Holly, NC, Amy Todd Gage and husband, Tyler of Charlotte, Nicholas Todd and wife, Jessica of Archdale, NC, great grandchildren, Justin and Cayce Connor, Derek and Allison Marsh, Sara Beth Gage, brothers, Alfred and Johnny Mullis, sister, Joy Lee Saine.
Memorials in Helen’s memory may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to Hospice of Randolph County.
