Frank J. Mullis

Mr. Mullis, 83, died Sunday, February 5, 2006, in the Harris
Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital, Main.

His funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 8, at
Central United Methodist Church, 6030 Albemarle Road, with the
Reverend Rick Fite officiating. The family will receive friends at
the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow
in Sharon Memorial Park.

Born August 28, 1922, in Charlotte, a son of the late Willie Frank
and Bessie Beavers Mullis, he was a graduate of Central High
School. He served in the US Army during World War II. A long-time
member of Central United Methodist Church, Mr. Mullis was a member
of its Wesleyan Fellowship Class. For many years, he ran the Mullis
Grocery Store in Derita with his late brother, Edgar. Mr. Mullis,
also, had his own business, Mullis TV and Radio Service. Always
known as a really giving person, he could fix anything and would do
anything for anyone.

In addition to his parents and Edgar, Mr. Mullis was preceded in
death by his sisters, Rachel Goodman and Lelia Mae Brown, and
brother, Joe.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Thelma Allison Mullis; son,
Frank Wayne Mullis and his wife, Deborah, of Charlotte; daughter,
Linda Holton of Jacksonville Beach, FL; sister, Virginia Morgan of
Surfside Beach, SC; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and one
great-grandson.
