Joe Mullis -MACON, GA – Joe Mullis, 91, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 2P.M. on Monday, September 13, 2010 in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Etah Garcia will officiate. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Monday.
-Mr. Mullis was born in Dexter, Georgia to the late Joseph and Lelia Bryan Mullis. He was also predeceased by four brothers, two sisters, and granddaughter Amy Elizabeth Layton.
-Mr. Mullis proudly served his country in the United States Army, seeing action in the European Theater. He loved woodworking and gardening. It was said that he could make a broomstick grow. Mr. Mullis was a kind and generous man who would help anyone in need.
-Mr. Mullis is survived by his wife Lillian Mullis of Macon; daughters, Darrell Sark of Macon, Myra (Paul) Carson of Byron, and Deborah (Harrison) Crawford of North Carolina; sister Inez Wood of Dexter; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; brother Charles Mullis of Jacksonville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
