KING, N.C. – John C. “Chris” Mullis, 48, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday (TODAY) in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The Rev. David Miller will officiate.
Mr. Mullis, a native of Fort Valley, was a member of the Hawkinsville Masonic Lodge #9. He had also served in the National Guard and worked for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Suzanne Mullis of King, N.C.; children, Daniel Christopher Mullis, and his fiancée, Cheryl, Stephen Andrew Mullis all of Hawkinsville; mother, Virginia Webb of Fort Valley; father and step-mother, John Edward and Betsy Mullis of Centerville; siblings, Donald Edward Mullis of Fort Valley, Alan Mark Mullis of Greensborough, N.C., Patricia Elizabeth Farr of Kathleen. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
