Mullis, Odessa Query

160418_10042008_1KANNAPOLIS – Mrs. Odessa Query Mullis, 82, of Woodlawn Street, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Brian

Center.

Mrs. Mullis was born in Kannapolis on April 7, 1926, a daughter of the late Mather M. Query and Lula McDaniel Query. She retired from the weave room of Fieldcrest Cannon and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Howard Mullis, Sr., who died on July 28, 2001.

Survivors include a son, Guy Howard Mullis, Jr. and wife Andrea of Salisbury; four daughters, Lavonda Mullis Fink of China Grove; MarshAnn Mullis Connelly and husband Ron of Morganton, Tammy Mullis Wayne and husband Eric of China Grove, and Melanie Parris and husband Todd of Kannapolis; three sisters, Elizabeth Lambert of Kannapolis, Geneva Reed of Terrell, and Louise Leazer of Elon College; eight grandchildren, Lisa Moose and husband Chad, Brent Thomasee, Josh Wayne, Melissa Drye and husband Shawn, Chris Ferguson and wife Lundie, Cari Mullis, Cliff Connelly and Jeremy Mullis; five great-grandchildren, Dalton Moose, Logan Thomasee, Corbin Moose, Madison Ferguson and Morgan Ferguson.

Service: 11 a.m. Monday October 6 at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Terry Deitz will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, October 5 at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Lady’s Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family of Mrs. Mullis with arrangements.
