Virginia Paige Mullis, 43, of Crowley passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Service: 3 p.m. Sunday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. Inurnment: at a later date in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Ga. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the House of Hope, 216 N. Magnolia, Crowley, Texas 76036, 817-297-6400.
Paige was preceded in death by her mother, Marlys Koski, in August of this year.
Paige was born March 1, 1965, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Jim and Marlys Mullis. She attended college in Georgia and graduated from law school in 1998.
Paige stopped practicing law to devote her time and energy to raising her children and helping her community. While her children were her life, being elected to her city council position was very fulfilling to her.
Survivors: Husband, Jon Mathe of Crowley; daughters, Rachel and Emily Mathe and Darby Mullis; sons, Dallen Grimes and wife, Ashley, Devin Webb and Michael and Taylor Mathe; her father, Jim Mullis and wife, Shirley Cochran; stepfather, Sonny Koski; sister, Jeannie Weddle and husband, Eric; and grandmother, Evelyn Kent.
