Sam Mullis, Jr.
is president and CEO of the general partner that operates Mullis Newby
Hurst, LP. Prior to founding Mullis Newby Hurst in 2002, he was with
Dodson-Bateman & Company for 17 years as an executive vice
president and shareholder. Mullis has also held surety and casualty
insurance underwriting positions with the USF&G Companies in
Dallas. He is active in numerous trade associations and has served on
the boards of the Associated General Contractors National Surety
Council and the Construction Education Foundation. Mullis is a past
board member of the Associated Builders and Contractors of North Texas
and the National Association of Surety Bond Producers. A graduate of
the University of Arkansas, Mullis holds a BS in Business
Administration with a concentration in insurance and finance.
