Matt DiBenedetto of Hickory won the special 150-lap race in the UARA Stars series on Concord Motorsport Park’s half-mile tri-oval track Saturday. Tracy Mullis of Monroe won the 20-lap Fast and Furious Fours race, while Shawn Mangum of Monroe took the Redneck Racers 25-lap contest. On Friday, Legends and Bandoleros raced on the park’s quarter-mile oval track.
Legends winners: Thomas VanWingerden, Pro division; Todd Johnson of Cornelius, Masters; John Stancill of Ayden, Semi Pro; and Andrew Slattery of Charlotte, Chargers.
Bandoleros winners: Kendall Sellers of Kannapolis, Outlaws; Ryan Glenski of Mooresville, Young Guns; Mason Massey, Bandits; and Jesse Kirila, Transfer, Pa., Beginner Bandits.
A 125-lap race for late-model stocks will headline racing Saturday on the half-mile track. Also on the program are a 20-lap race for Fast and Furious Fours, 30-laps for pure stocks and 40 laps for limited late models.
The grandstand gate will open at 5:30 p.m. Qualifying will be at 5:45. Feature races will start 7:30.Grandstand general admission is $12 for adults and free for age 11 and younger with a ticketed adult.
