Mr. Mullis, born in Chester, had lived in Macon before moving to Cochran 25 years ago. He was the son of the late Sam and Lina Smith Mullis and the husband of the late Anna Liza Davis Mullis. He was retired form Armstrong Corp. and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors are his children, Mike (Tracy) Mullis and Angela (Kent) Elliott of Macon and Melanie (Keith) Klingsporn of Plano, TX; step-children, Larry (Tommie) Davis of Lake Sinclair, Patricia (Wayne) Brown, Mike (Janice) Davis and Mitch (Sheila) Davis of Cochran and Elaine (Len) Finch of Hawkinsville; sister, Hazel (Albert) Stroup of Augusta; eight grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; eighteen step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family is at 328 Highway 87 By-pass and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Mathis Funeral Home.
