Richard Lee Mullis, 80 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at his residence in Stanfield.
Richard was born September 28, 1935 in Mecklenburg County to the late Reuben James Mullis and the late Eunice Bartlett Mullis. He was also preceded in death by son, Richard Wayne Mullis.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Love’s Grove UMC, 4360 Polk Ford Road, Stanfield, NC 28163. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Jim White will follow at 1:00 PM in the church sanctuary.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Efird Mullis of Stanfield; son, David Allen (Amy) Mullis of Locust; sisters, Betty Flow, Jean (Jim) Barbee; brothers, James (Jenny) Mullis, Johnny (Darlene) Mullis; four grandchildren, Ryan Mullis, Talor Smith, Anna Mullis, and Molly Mullis; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Reagan Mullis.
