Starr Ferry Randall Obituary

Starr Ferry Randall 1904 ~ 2003

Born in Salt Lake City to LeGrande Starr Randall and Helena Elizabeth Scarlet Randall on July 29, 1904 (the year of the first mass-produced automobile,)

Dad passed away January 20, 2003 surrounded by his loving family.

He married Myrl Young on June 8, 1927, and they enjoyed an incredible 75 years of marriage. Starr worked in the automobile business most of his life, owning several body shops. He was a gifted artist, creating metal sculptures, paintings, watercolors, jewelry, and ceramics. Starr outlived his four brothers, Clarence, Charles, Louis, and Vincent.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty June (Carl) Thomas, Ogden; and a son, Starr Duane Randall (Deann); and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his sweetheart and bride, Myrl; his children, Patricia Myrl (Paul) Brown; David Lee Randall (Jan); and Richard Dennis Randall (Beverly); sister-in-law, Mildred (William) Pace of Richfield; 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.  He will be sorely missed by us all.

The family wishes to thank the people of Harmony Hospice for their warm support. And special thanks to daughter, Pat Brown with whom Starr and Myrl have resided these past five years and who gave Dad such tender care in his declining years.

A brief service, for family and friends, followed by a buffet will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25th, at Cottonwood 16th Ward, 1750 E. Spring Lane (5195 South)
