\n Kannapolis obituaries — Week of 5\/21\/08 <\/p>\n

MONROE — Ollie Mullis Harrington Clontz, 98, 9307
\nLandsford Road, formerly of Kannapolis, died Wednesday, May 14,
\n2008, at her home after a year of declining health.<\/p>\n

Born July 26, 1910, in Union County, she was a daughter of the late
\nCharlie N. and Camilia Benton Mullis. She worked for the former
\nCannon Mills Co. Plant No. 1 and No. 6 Weave Room for 34 years
\nuntil her retirement. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Primitive
\nBaptist Church, Marshville. She lived in Kannapolis most of her
\nlife.<\/p>\n

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Lee Harrington, who
\ndied June 24, 1988; and a son, Clonnie Harrington.
\n
\nSurvivors include daughters Lois Threatt, Monroe, Johnnie Todd,
\nConcord, Joyce Hathcock, Stanfield, and Gina McGlynn, Charlotte;
\nsons Eugene Harrington, Davidson, Lawrence Harrington, Albemarle,
\nand Clarence Harrington, Kannapolis; sister Dorothy Edwards,
\nWingate; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16
\ngreat-great-grandchildren; and four
\ngreat-great-great-grandchildren.

\nA service was held Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Whitley’s
\nFuneral Home, conducted by the Rev. Gary McLain and Elder Joe
\nHelms. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.<\/p>\n
