\n CONCORD – Mrs. Bobbie Pruitt Mullis, 61, of 305 Small Ave., passed
\naway at home on June 9, 2008, with her family by her side. A
\nmemorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Johns Lutheran
\nChurch in downtown Salisbury. Officiating will be the Revs. Ernest
\nBrooks and Leon Smith. The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m.
\non Thursday at the church. Bobbie was born in Gaston County on
\nMarch 6, 1947. She was raised by Ernest and Joanne Brooks, who
\nconsider her like their daughter. She was married to the late Danny
\nMullis. Bobbie loved life. She cherished her family and loved
\nnature, especially on her travels with Danny. Mrs. Mullis is
\nsurvived by her sons, Steve Schenk and his wife, Tammy, of
\nSalisbury and Mark Schenk and wife, Beverly, of Kannapolis; her
\nchildhood guardians, Ernest and Joanne Brooks of Gilroy Calif.;
\ngrandchildren, Chris and Travis Schenk, Sean and Sara Murphy;
\ngreat-grandson, Colton Hegee; close friends and neighbors, Kimberly
\nFortson and George Sowell; in-laws, James and Ruth Mullis of
\nConcord; and her faithful loving companions, her dog, Bart, and her
\ncat, Puss. The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the
\nstaff of Hospice of Cabarrus County for the care and support given
\nto Bobbie. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care
