\nPARKER CITY — This winter, the holiday
\nshopping season will include another option for local residents as
\nFamily Dollar plans to open a store here in November.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe
\n8,800-square-foot store is under construction at 122 W. Jackson St.,
\nalong Ind. 32 in Parker City. It’s expected to open before
\nThanksgiving, a company spokesman said.\n<\/p>\n

<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n"The target date is mid-November of this year — hopefully, cross our
\nfingers, in time for the holiday season," said Josh Braverman, public
\nrelations manager from the company’s headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe metal building with its stone front is owned by The Peniel
\nGroup of Terre Haute, and Steve Mullis, a construction manager for the
\nTerre Haute developer, said construction began in June.\n<\/p>\n

\nBraverman
\nsaid the store will feature a sales floor of 7,744 square feet and
\ninclude a general inventory that will include apparel, housewares, bath
\nitems and food.\n<\/p>\n

\n"We try to locate our stores in neighborhoods so
\nwe are convenient. We do provide convenience. That really is our
\nmission (so customers can) run in, pick up a gallon of milk or a pack
\nof diapers."\n<\/p>\n

\nThe store likely will employ 5-7 workers — a
\nfull-time store manager and assistant manager, and then others who will
\nwork a combination of full- and part-time shifts. Interested workers
